Exhibitor FAQ

  • When will I be able to book my EXPO discounted room rate?

    • You can book now! Check the EXPO home page for Hotels and booking details. We strongly suggest you book early.
  • How much is a taxi from the airport to downtown Pittsburgh?

    • The closest airport is Pittsburgh International Airport (airport code PIT). Upon arrival at the airport, proceed to the landside terminal, lower level, exit through the "commercial" doors and head toward the taxi stand area on the curb where cabs are waiting. The estimated cost for a taxi fare to downtown Pittsburgh is $40-$45. It is about a 20-25 minute ride to downtown from the airport.
  • How many exhibitor badges come with my booth?

    • 2 badges are issued for 100 sq. ft. (10x10 booth); 3 badges for 200 sq. ft (10x20 booth); 4 badges for 300 sq ft (10x30 booth; 10 badges for any booth over 400 sq ft.

      Additional exhibitor badges can be purchased for $25 per badge. You will receive more information about how to register your booth staff in the Exhibitor Service Guide which will be emailed to you in Mid August.
  • Does my exhibitor badge allow me to go to education sessions?

    • No, the exhibitor badge only allows access to the trade-show floor. If you wish to attend a session, Please see Sachin at the show and he will give you an Education Pass, if there is space.
  • If I’m interested in having an event during EXPO, what should I do?

    • Contact the hotel directly.  Please be aware that any event must take place OUTSIDE of EXPO show hours.
  • Is there public transportation in Pittsburgh?

  • Is there parking at the Convention Center?

  • I’d like to increase or change my booth size. What should I do?

    • Contact Sachin Mohan via email at smohan@tcia.org or call him at (516) 625-1613.
  • What comes with my booth?

    Your booth will come with the following:

    • 8’ high background drapery
    • 3’ high divider drapery
    • One (1) company ID sign (7”x44”)
  • When will the Exhibitor Service Guide be available?

    • The link to the Exhibitor Service Guide will be emailed to you in mid-August.
  • Who do I go through for my booth rental equipment (carpet, tables, etc.)?

    • George Fern (not exclusive…you can use another company but please keep in mind that you will not have early access to the show floor); all order forms will be available through the Exhibitor Service Guide or you can also contact Kelly Weldy from Fern at 317-635-9606 or kweldy@fernexpo.com for help. Please note, any booth furnishings that are shipped from a third party are subject to published drayage charges.
  • Is vacuuming included?

    • Vacuum service can be ordered. Please see the Exhibitor Service Guide for details.
  • How do I get a rope or sign hung from the ceiling in my space?

    • George Fern will hang the signs and ropes and you should order this service directly from them.
  • How does my hanging sign get assembled?

    • If the assembly of your sign does not require the use of any power tools, you can assemble it yourself. You must be present early enough to assemble the sign based on your targeted move-in time, prior to the time they need the sign hung. If a power tool is involved, Fern is responsible for assembling the sign. Please be sure to use the appropriate Hanging Sign Shipping Label and complete the Labor Form for Sign Assembly in the Exhibitor Service Guide. Please note that only Center can hang the sign so there is a separate order form for that from the Center. Contact Kelly Weldy at 317-635-9606 or kweldy@fernexpo.com if you have further questions.
  • Can I bring my own carpet or flooring?

    • Yes, but keep in mind it cannot be pre-installed. Your carpet begins to be laid at your scheduled move in time, not prior. Be aware a drayage fee will be charged to unload your carpet and deliver it to your booth. The proper EAC paperwork needs to be completed and submitted to Fern.   • What are the deadlines for me to get forms back to TCIA?

    • These dates will be in the Exhibitor Service Guide which will be sent to you via email in mid-August.
  • Where is the Marshalling Yard?

    • The address for the Marshalling Yard will be in the Exhibitor Service Guide which will be sent to you via email in mid-August.
  • How does my freight arrive at my booth and who pays for this?

    • Please refer to the Material Handling FAQ in the Exhibitor Service Guide.
  •  When is my move-in time and day?

    • The link to the exhibitor move-in schedule will be sent out in mid-August. Exhibitors will not be allowed to move-in until final payment is received. ALL vehicles, whether they be carriers, flat beds, POV’s, etc. must check in at the marshalling yard at least 1 hour before your scheduled move in time. If you need to change your move in time, please email Mai Chen at mchen@tcia.org before Friday, October 4, 2019.
  • Who do I go through for electricity and internet?

    • The Convention Center (links will be provided in the Exhibitor Service Guide which will be sent to you in mid-August.
  • Can I leave the show before 1:00 PM on Saturday?

    • No, TCIA requires all exhibitors to man their booths through the show closing at 1:00 p.m.
  • I’m a Student Career Day partner or job fair participant; where do I get my information?

    • Details about participation in SCD are different than exhibiting at TCI EXPO; please contact studentcareerdays@tcia.org with your questions.
