SPEAKER_BIO:Tim is the Safety Manager for The Davey Tree Expert Company. He is working on his doctorate in ergonomics and safety. His research look at risk in the tree care profession. He has a Master’s degree in ergonomics from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Urban Forestry from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He is a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (the first actually), an ISA and New Hampshire certified arborist and a Maine licensed arborist. He has been a voting member of the Accredited Standards Committee Z133 for several revisions, is a task chair for two task groups and is still actively involved in several task groups including: electrical hazards, rigging, crane use, chain saws, chippers and others. He has provided input for the CALOSHA Tree Climbing and Access Advisory Committee, and the Oregon OSHA Forest Activities Standards Advisory Committee. Tim has also been a climbing arborist for more than 25 years, has owned his own business, and worked with companies around the world.
