What is Student Career Days?
Student Career Days (SCD) is the largest FREE career development event available to students pursing a formal education in arboriculture or related studies. Each year, hundreds of students meet at TCI EXPO for two days of learning, networking, and growing.
This year’s event offers an industry job fair with over a dozen booths, skill-based activities including knot tying and safety gear checks, and SCD’s newest event, a vertical rope ascent on the trade show floor.
Put your skills to the test, win prizes, earn bragging rights, network with industry professionals, and leave with new friends and more career opportunities.
PLUS… Students get access to everything TCI EXPO has to offer! Attend any educational sessions or forums, explore the trade show floor and network at the Welcome Reception on Thursday evening.
Want to attend Student Career Days?
Registration opens August 19, 2019.
Colleges wishing to register their students should email firstname.lastname@example.org and request the registration link.
Any college student enrolled in an arboriculture, forestry, or related program is eligible to attend. All student registrations must be submitted by a faculty member, staff member, adjunct professor, or other representative of the college. Students who submit registrations independently will be asked to have a representative from their college resubmit the registration on their behalf. This is to ensure only eligible students in relevant programs attend and to manage reimbursement checks to the college.
In some cases, students may be required to verify enrollment and program of study.
SCD is free to attend and travel funds are offered to colleges who attend. Travel reimbursement amounts are based on the distance traveled from the college to SCD and the number of students who attend from the college.
Travel reimbursement amounts will be mailed once travel distance and student attendance at the event is confirmed. Reimbursements will be made in one lump sum directly to the college. Checks will be mailed the week of December 1st.
Already registered and want to sign-up for the learning activities?
Students wishing to participate in any of these timed events may do so by registering on-site the day of the event.
Spaces are available on a first-come first-served basis. After registering, you will be assigned an on-deck time. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your on-deck time as we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals.
To participate in the rope ascent, students are required to sign the Student Waiver and Liability Release Form at the time of registration.
