Crew Leader Qualification (English)

8:00 am – 5:00 pm

This workshop is for aspiring, new, and veteran crew leaders who want to improve their leadership, communication, and personal management skills to strengthen their teams. Learn how to communicate more effectively, motivate your crew members and train new crew members to help you better resolve conflict.

Note: Participants must take an exam to earn TCIA’s Crew Leader Qualification.

Prerequisite: Completion of Tree Care Academy Crew Leader Manual.

Electrical Hazards Awareness Program (EHAP)

8:00 am – 5:00 pm

TCIA’s Electrical Hazards Awareness Program (EHAP) is a great way to keep workers safe, ensure OSHA compliance, and document training. This one-day workshop helps workers recognize electrical hazards, meet ANSI-based required safety training and structure and support for employer certification of line-clearance arborists and arborists who work near energized lines on residential properties.

Includes lunch.

Certified Tree Care Safety Professional One-Day Advanced Safety/Behavioral Workshop and Certification Exam

8:00 am – 5:00 pm

In this workshop, candidates will review safety management system concepts and receive professional instructions in teaching safety concepts to adults and in developing a coaching style based on their company’s needs. Role-playing exercises and skills demonstrations will be utilized. Call 800-733-2622 to get more information.

Eligibility: Please be aware that, in order to attend the workshop and be eligible to take the CTSP exam, you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Visit tcia.org/ctsp to enroll in the program (separate purchase required)
  2. Complete homework – all 13 Critical Thinking exercises and Safety Program checklist
  3. Register for the workshop and exam by calling 603-314-5380

The CTSP Virtual Exam: will be proctored online using the Proctor Free software. Requirements – Good internet/bandwidth connection, quiet space, headset or earbuds, webcam. Tablets and mobile devices are not supported. Proper ID is required to scan. The exam is available beginning 11/10/2022; 12:00 am (ET) and closes 11/12/2022; 11:30 pm (ET). The candidates will receive additional instructions.

Municipal and Utility Arborists:
Because your employers are ineligible for TCIA membership, the CTSP program extends TCIA member pricing to you for enrollment and certification workshops as a professional courtesy.
