Tree rigging is both an art and a science, requiring a balance of skill, knowledge, and proper technique to ensure safe and controlled lifting of limbs. This presentation explores key principles of lifting in tree rigging, including mechanical advantage, force distribution, and equipment selection. We’ll discuss best practices for securing, lifting, and maneuvering limbs, as well as strategies to mitigate hazards such as dynamic loads, shock loading, and unexpected failures.
