City trees do a lot more than look good—they help cool our neighborhoods, clean the air and water, manage stormwater and store carbon. But growing in urban environments isn’t easy. Compacted, low-quality soil makes it tough for trees to thrive long-term.
That’s where biochar comes in. This carbon-rich material is gaining traction as a powerful way to improve soil conditions and support healthier, more resilient trees. Learn how it works and how it can be used in real-world tree care by checking out the article link in bio!

The tree care industry is facing a workforce shortage, but the solution may already exist in places many companies haven’t thought to look.
In this TCI MAGAZINE article, we explore how programs like Green Reentry job training initiatives are opening doors for individuals reentering the workforce after incarceration—while also helping tree care companies find motivated, hardworking employees eager for a fresh start. These programs combine hands-on training, mentorship and real job opportunities, creating a pathway into arboriculture for people who may otherwise struggle to access stable employment.
For employers willing to invest in training and think beyond traditional hiring pipelines, this untapped talent pool could help strengthen crews, improve retention and expand opportunities across the industry.
Discover how expanding where we recruit could help solve one of tree care’s biggest workforce challenges by checking out the link in bio!
